Door Competition – This year, each classroom was asked to design a door based on a book for World Book Day. The staff and children came up with a book for each class and created a door to represent that book. Every door was absolutely brilliant, the children and staff should be very proud. Two governors came into school on World Book Day to judge the doors. They chose a winner for each year group and an overall winner who won book vouchers for their class. A huge well done and thank you to all the staff and children for taking part and to Mr. Brown and Mr. Cullingham for coming in to choose the winners – an incredibly difficult task!

Year 4 Author Visit - On Wednesday 26th February, Year 4 had an amazing day when Karl Nova (Author/Poet/Rapper) visited BCJS. It started with an assembly, where Karl spoke about his journey to what he is doing now, answered questions and performed some of his poems.
Each class participated in a workshop where they learnt all about creating and writing poetry. They had the opportunity to write their own poems and perform them and also join in with a rap!
